MULTIFANDOM DRABBLE TREE: just what the writer's block doctor ordered!!!

(Rules liberally stolen from notalwaysweak)

How this works: below is a drabble. To participate, reply to this post with another drabble (exactly 100 words) containing a sentence or phrase from the original. Please leave the words you took on the first line, as well as the fandom in parentheses. (If no fandom/any fandom, just write "any"). The next person continues the trend, taking a sentence or phrase from any of the existing drabbles and creating their own.

You can draw from any drabble as many times as you want. It's okay to change the tense or the POV of the bit you've taken if you need to for it to make sense.

Also, all fandoms are welcome, including rpf, etc. Because of that, you can also substitute any character name for any other character name.

And, of course, make sure to add any trigger warnings if necessary.

Drabble:

She wades into the ocean. The salty water stings against a few scrapes on her legs, but she keeps going. The pull of the current tugs at her, and she pushes her sunglasses up and squints up at the sky. The clouds have burnt off, and the heat sinks deep into her skin. Kids are screaming and running on the boardwalk, and he's watching her from the sand. She waves, he glares back, and she laughs. Finally he drops his phone on their blanket and runs in after her. She kisses him soundly and then shoves him beneath a wave.
